The team at Doodle + Code designed and developed a custom landing page experience to support the event launch of The Future We Build — a four-part documentary series by Terra exploring the future of South Florida through conversations around architecture, resilience, culture, infrastructure, and community.

The documentary series combines cinematic storytelling with thoughtful discussions about the forces shaping Miami’s future. Our goal for the website was to extend that same visual and emotional experience into a digital format.

We designed the site to reflect the documentary’s cinematic style through editorial-inspired layouts, layered imagery, motion, and typography that felt cohesive with the film’s overall identity.

Beyond aesthetics, the project focused heavily on user experience and storytelling flow. The site was carefully structured to guide visitors through the documentary’s themes while maintaining momentum and visual interest throughout the experience.

The design also needed to organize a large amount of information in a way that felt intuitive and approachable. To accomplish this, we incorporated interactive content modules, expandable sections, and collapsible elements that allow users to explore topics at their own pace without feeling overwhelmed. The result is a content-rich experience that remains clean, engaging, and easy to navigate.

Projects like this are especially meaningful to us because they sit at the intersection of design, technology, and storytelling — allowing digital experiences to support larger cultural conversations and ideas.
